Where you would be based in Stirling
Forth Valley Royal Hospital is the hospital local teams work alongside, and the homes and services around Bannockburn and Bridge of Allan draw staff from the same pool. Stirling Council runs services locally.
Most placements are in Bannockburn, St Ninians and Bridge of Allan, with regular work further out at Dunblane, Raploch and Cornton. Postings run through FK7, FK8 and FK9, including out at Causewayhead.
What the role involves
- ✓ Working alongside GPs, district nurses and multidisciplinary teams
- ✓ Supporting and supervising care and support staff on shift
- ✓ Accurate record keeping and handover
- ✓ Assessing, planning and reviewing care for the people you look after
- ✓ Medication administration and clinical observations
- ✓ Wound care, catheter care and other clinical tasks within your competence
Hours, shifts and contracts
Days, nights and weekends are all available, full time or part time. Someone covering Raploch on earlies and Cornton on nights is an ordinary week here. The aim is ongoing work in settings you already know, not a different address every week between Bannockburn and Cambusbarron.
Some people stay on agency indefinitely; others use a few months around Bridge of Allan to find the right permanent home. Both are fine.

- ✓Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Excellent clinical and communication skills
- ✓Experience in community, elderly or end-of-life care is desirable, but not essential
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
