Where the work is in Inverness
Work comes up near Crown, Dalneigh and Kinmylies, much of it within reach of Raigmore Hospital. Between Highland and The Highland Council, most of what we staff around Hilton sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Crown, Dalneigh and Kinmylies one week, Hilton, Inshes and Culloden the next. Highland is well within the area we cover.
The job day to day
- ✓ Wound care, catheter care and other clinical tasks within your competence
- ✓ Working alongside GPs, district nurses and multidisciplinary teams
- ✓ Supporting and supervising care and support staff on shift
- ✓ Accurate record keeping and handover
- ✓ Assessing, planning and reviewing care for the people you look after
- ✓ Medication administration and clinical observations
When you would work
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Culloden is easier for you to reach than Smithton, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Smithton.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Crown and Hilton first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.

Working with Protocol
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your Highland shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Inverness itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Perth, Aberdeen and Dundee as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Inverness.
