Work comes up near Bloxwich, Willenhall and Darlaston, much of it within reach of Walsall Manor Hospital. Between Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and Walsall Council, most of what we staff around Aldridge sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Bloxwich, Willenhall and Darlaston one week, Aldridge, Brownhills and Pelsall the next. If you are based around WS1 or WS10, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
The job day to day
- ✓ Supporting people to access work, education, activities and their community
- ✓ Positive behaviour support and de-escalation, with training provided
- ✓ Medication prompting and support appropriate to your training
- ✓ Accurate notes and clear communication with the wider team
- ✓ Supporting people with daily routines and personal care where needed
- ✓ Encouraging independence, choice and everyday decision making
When you would work
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Pelsall is easier for you to reach than Streetly, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Streetly.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Bloxwich and Aldridge first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.

Working with Protocol
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your West Midlands shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Walsall itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in West Bromwich, Wolverhampton and Dudley as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Walsall.
