Work comes up near Castleton, Bamford and Norden, much of it within reach of Rochdale Infirmary. Between Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust and Rochdale Borough Council, most of what we staff around Healey sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Castleton, Bamford and Norden one week, Healey, Spotland and Milnrow the next. If you are based around OL11 or OL12, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
The job day to day
- ✓ Supporting people to access work, education, activities and their community
- ✓ Positive behaviour support and de-escalation, with training provided
- ✓ Medication prompting and support appropriate to your training
- ✓ Accurate notes and clear communication with the wider team
- ✓ Supporting people with daily routines and personal care where needed
- ✓ Encouraging independence, choice and everyday decision making
When you would work
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Milnrow is easier for you to reach than Littleborough, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Littleborough.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Castleton and Healey first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.

Working with Protocol
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your Greater Manchester shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Rochdale itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Oldham, Manchester and Salford as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Rochdale.
