Shifts land right across the patch: Stopsley, Leagrave and Bury Park one week, Sundon Park, Bramingham and High Town the next. If you are based around LU1 or LU2, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.

- ✓ Positive behaviour support and de-escalation, with training provided
- ✓ Medication prompting and support appropriate to your training
- ✓ Accurate notes and clear communication with the wider team
- ✓ Supporting people with daily routines and personal care where needed
- ✓ Encouraging independence, choice and everyday decision making
Shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If High Town is easier for you to reach than Round Green, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Round Green.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Stopsley and Sundon Park first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
What you will need
- ✓Experience in mental health or learning disability support is desirable, not essential
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Patience, resilience and respect for the people you support
- ✓Good communication skills
How we work with you
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your Bedfordshire shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Luton itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in St Albans, Stevenage and Watford as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Luton.
