Work comes up near Cowley Hill, Hillside and Brookmeadow, much of it within reach of Barnet Hospital. Between Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and Hertfordshire County Council, most of what we staff around Kenilworth sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Cowley Hill, Hillside and Brookmeadow one week, Kenilworth, Deacons Hill and Elstree the next. If you are based around WD6 or WD6, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
What the role involves
- ✓ Accurate notes and clear communication with the wider team
- ✓ Supporting people with daily routines and personal care where needed
- ✓ Encouraging independence, choice and everyday decision making
- ✓ Supporting people to access work, education, activities and their community
- ✓ Positive behaviour support and de-escalation, with training provided
- ✓ Medication prompting and support appropriate to your training
Hours, shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Elstree is easier for you to reach than Well End, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Well End.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Cowley Hill and Kenilworth first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
