Nurse roles in West Bromwich
Protocol Healthcare Services is looking for dedicated, compassionate and professional Registered Nurses to work in and around West Bromwich. We place nurses on both agency and permanent contracts, so whether you want to pick up shifts around other commitments or move into a settled post, there is a route for you.
Working around West Bromwich
Work comes up near Great Barr, Charlemont and Hateley Heath, much of it within reach of Sandwell General Hospital. Between West Birmingham NHS Trust and Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, most of what we staff around Stone Cross sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Great Barr, Charlemont and Hateley Heath one week, Stone Cross, Greets Green and Hill Top the next. West Midlands is well within the area we cover.
A typical shift
- ✓ Wound care, catheter care and other clinical tasks within your competence
- ✓ Working alongside GPs, district nurses and multidisciplinary teams
- ✓ Supporting and supervising care and support staff on shift
- ✓ Accurate record keeping and handover
- ✓ Assessing, planning and reviewing care for the people you look after
- ✓ Medication administration and clinical observations
Shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Hill Top is easier for you to reach than Carters Green, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Carters Green.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Great Barr and Stone Cross first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
What you will need
- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Excellent clinical and communication skills
- ✓Experience in community, elderly or end-of-life care is desirable, but not essential
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
- ✓Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
How we work with you
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your West Midlands shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in West Bromwich itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Dudley, Walsall and Birmingham as well, and many people cover two of those alongside West Bromwich.
Tell us which parts of West Midlands you can reach and we will match you to what is open. There are immediate opportunities for suitable candidates. Call 020 8951 4510 or use the contact form.
