Protocol Healthcare Services is looking for dedicated, compassionate and professional Registered Nurses to work in and around Royal Tunbridge Wells. Work comes up near Southborough, Rusthall and Pembury, much of it within reach of Tunbridge Wells Hospital. Between Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and Kent County Council, most of what we staff around Langton Green sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Southborough, Rusthall and Pembury one week, Langton Green, Speldhurst and High Brooms the next. If you are based around TN1 or TN4, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
What you would be doing
- ✓ Accurate record keeping and handover
- ✓ Assessing, planning and reviewing care for the people you look after
- ✓ Medication administration and clinical observations
- ✓ Wound care, catheter care and other clinical tasks within your competence
- ✓ Working alongside GPs, district nurses and multidisciplinary teams
- ✓ Supporting and supervising care and support staff on shift
Shifts, and how they are booked
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If High Brooms is easier for you to reach than Hawkenbury, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Hawkenbury.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Southborough and Langton Green first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
What we look for
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
- ✓Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Excellent clinical and communication skills
- ✓Experience in community, elderly or end-of-life care is desirable, but not essential
What we do for you
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your Kent shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Royal Tunbridge Wells itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Maidstone, Crawley and Medway as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Royal Tunbridge Wells.
