Care Home roles in Royal Tunbridge Wells
Protocol Healthcare Services recruits for nursing and residential homes in and around Royal Tunbridge Wells, covering everything from a single shift to a permanent contract. We place Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, senior carers and support staff.
Where you would be based in Royal Tunbridge Wells
Work comes up near Southborough, Rusthall and Pembury, much of it within reach of Tunbridge Wells Hospital. Between Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and Kent County Council, most of what we staff around Langton Green sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Southborough, Rusthall and Pembury one week, Langton Green, Speldhurst and High Brooms the next. If you are based around TN1 or TN4, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
What the role involves
- ✓ Clear record keeping and handover between shifts
- ✓ Personal care, washing, dressing and continence support
- ✓ Supporting residents at mealtimes and with nutrition
- ✓ Mobility support and safe moving and handling
- ✓ Medication support appropriate to your role and training
- ✓ Activities, companionship and keeping families informed
Hours, shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If High Brooms is easier for you to reach than Hawkenbury, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Hawkenbury.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Southborough and Langton Green first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
Who we are looking for
- ✓Previous care home experience is helpful but not always required
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Reliability and a genuinely person-centred approach
- ✓NMC registration if you are applying for a Registered Nurse post
Why people stay with us
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your Kent shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Royal Tunbridge Wells itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Maidstone, Crawley and Medway as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Royal Tunbridge Wells.
Tell us which parts of Kent you can reach and we will match you to what is open. There are immediate opportunities for suitable candidates. Call 020 8951 4510 or use the contact form.
