We place nurses on both agency and permanent contracts, so whether you want to pick up shifts around other commitments or move into a settled post, there is a route for you.
Where the work is in Loughborough
Work comes up near Shelthorpe, Nanpantan and Thorpe Acre, much of it within reach of Loughborough Hospital. Between Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and Leicestershire County Council, most of what we staff around Hathern sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Shelthorpe, Nanpantan and Thorpe Acre one week, Hathern, Dishley and Southfields the next. If you are based around LE11 or LE12, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
The job day to day
- ✓ Wound care, catheter care and other clinical tasks within your competence
- ✓ Working alongside GPs, district nurses and multidisciplinary teams
- ✓ Supporting and supervising care and support staff on shift
- ✓ Accurate record keeping and handover
- ✓ Assessing, planning and reviewing care for the people you look after
- ✓ Medication administration and clinical observations
When you would work
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Southfields is easier for you to reach than Storer, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Storer.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Shelthorpe and Hathern first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.

- ✓Experience in community, elderly or end-of-life care is desirable, but not essential

We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your Leicestershire shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Loughborough itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Leicester, Nottingham and Derby as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Loughborough.
