Care Home roles in Richmond
Protocol Healthcare Services recruits for nursing and residential homes in and around Richmond, covering everything from a single shift to a permanent contract. We place Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, senior carers and support staff.
Richmond and the area we cover
Work comes up near Richmond Hill, Richmond Riverside and Richmond Green, much of it within reach of Kingston Hospital. Between Richmond NHS Foundation Trust and the local council, most of what we staff around Kew sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Richmond Hill, Richmond Riverside and Richmond Green one week, Kew, Ham and Petersham the next. If you are based around TW9 or TW10, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
What you would be doing
- ✓ Clear record keeping and handover between shifts
- ✓ Personal care, washing, dressing and continence support
- ✓ Supporting residents at mealtimes and with nutrition
- ✓ Mobility support and safe moving and handling
- ✓ Medication support appropriate to your role and training
- ✓ Activities, companionship and keeping families informed
Shifts, and how they are booked
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Petersham is easier for you to reach than North Sheen, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around North Sheen.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Richmond Hill and Kew first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
What we look for
- ✓Reliability and a genuinely person-centred approach
- ✓NMC registration if you are applying for a Registered Nurse post
- ✓Previous care home experience is helpful but not always required
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
- ✓The right to work in the UK
What we do for you
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your London shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Richmond itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Hounslow, Kingston upon Thames and Ealing as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Richmond.
Tell us which parts of London you can reach and we will match you to what is open. There are immediate opportunities for suitable candidates. Call 020 8951 4510 or use the contact form.
