Working around Hounslow
Work comes up near Hounslow Central, Hounslow West and Isleworth, much of it within reach of West Middlesex University Hospital. Between Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Hounslow Council, most of what we staff around Brentford sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Hounslow Central, Hounslow West and Isleworth one week, Brentford, Chiswick and Feltham the next. If you are based around TW3 or TW4, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
A typical shift
- ✓ Mobility support and safe moving and handling
- ✓ Medication support appropriate to your role and training
- ✓ Activities, companionship and keeping families informed
- ✓ Clear record keeping and handover between shifts
- ✓ Personal care, washing, dressing and continence support
- ✓ Supporting residents at mealtimes and with nutrition
Shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Feltham is easier for you to reach than Heston, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Heston.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Hounslow Central and Brentford first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
What you will need
- ✓NMC registration if you are applying for a Registered Nurse post
- ✓Previous care home experience is helpful but not always required
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Reliability and a genuinely person-centred approach
How we work with you
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your London shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Hounslow itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Richmond, Ealing and Kingston upon Thames as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Hounslow.
Tell us which parts of London you can reach and we will match you to what is open. There are immediate opportunities for suitable candidates. Call 020 8951 4510 or use the contact form.
