The job day to day
- ✓ Mobility support and safe moving and handling
- ✓ Medication support appropriate to your role and training
- ✓ Activities, companionship and keeping families informed
- ✓ Clear record keeping and handover between shifts
- ✓ Personal care, washing, dressing and continence support
- ✓ Supporting residents at mealtimes and with nutrition
When you would work
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If New Malden is easier for you to reach than Old Malden, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Old Malden.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Kingston town centre and Surbiton first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
Before you apply
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Reliability and a genuinely person-centred approach
- ✓NMC registration if you are applying for a Registered Nurse post
- ✓Previous care home experience is helpful but not always required
Working with Protocol
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your London shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Kingston upon Thames itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Richmond, Merton and Hounslow as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Kingston upon Thames.
Tell us which parts of London you can reach and we will match you to what is open. There are immediate opportunities for suitable candidates. Call 020 8951 4510 or use the contact form.
