Where you would be based in Richmond
Kingston Hospital is the hospital local teams work alongside, and the homes and services around Richmond Hill and Richmond Green draw staff from the same pool. Richmond NHS Foundation Trust runs services locally.
Most placements are in Richmond Hill, Richmond Riverside and Richmond Green, with regular work further out at Kew, Ham and Petersham. Postings run through TW9 and TW10, including out at East Sheen.
What the role involves
- ✓ Working alongside GPs, district nurses and multidisciplinary teams
- ✓ Supporting and supervising care and support staff on shift
- ✓ Accurate record keeping and handover
- ✓ Assessing, planning and reviewing care for the people you look after
- ✓ Medication administration and clinical observations
- ✓ Wound care, catheter care and other clinical tasks within your competence
Hours, shifts and contracts
Days, nights and weekends are all available, full time or part time. Someone covering Ham on earlies and Petersham on nights is an ordinary week here. The aim is ongoing work in settings you already know, not a different address every week between Richmond Hill and North Sheen.
Some people stay on agency indefinitely; others use a few months around Richmond Green to find the right permanent home. Both are fine.
