Ringwood is a traditional New Forest market town with a large and settled older population, and a real sense of community that families are keen to hold on to. Many of the people we support want to stay close to the places they know, whether that is the Wednesday market and the Jubilee Lamp in the Market Place, a morning coffee on the High Street, a gentle walk on the Bickerley green or beside the River Avon, or a service at the Church of St Peter and St Paul. Our care is designed to keep those routines going, not replace them, across neighbourhoods such as Poulner, Hightown, Kingston, Hangersley and Crow, and out towards Ashley Heath, St Leonards and St Ives on the Dorset side of the BH24 area.

We regularly support people coming home from the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, run by University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, which covers Bournemouth, Christchurch, East Dorset and part of the New Forest, as well as those discharged further east from Southampton General Hospital. Getting the first few weeks at home right matters, so we help with medication routines, mobility and rehabilitation support, and we keep in close contact with families and district nurses to spot any problems early. This hospital-to-home support is one of the reasons families across Ringwood call us when a discharge date arrives sooner than expected.

Adult social care in the town is overseen by Hampshire County Council, with Ringwood sitting within the New Forest district.
