Where you would be based in Paisley
The Royal Alexandra Hospital anchors a good deal of the health provision around Ralston and Hawkhead, and the settings we recruit for sit close to it. Renfrewshire Council commissions much of the care in the area.
We fill posts in Ralston, Hawkhead, Thornly Park and Glenburn and out towards Foxbar, Ferguslie Park and Gallowhill. PA1, PA2 and PA3 come up most often, and work extends through Renfrewshire.

- ✓ Encouraging independence, choice and everyday decision making
- ✓ Supporting people to access work, education, activities and their community
- ✓ Positive behaviour support and de-escalation, with training provided
- ✓ Medication prompting and support appropriate to your training
- ✓ Accurate notes and clear communication with the wider team
- ✓ Supporting people with daily routines and personal care where needed
Hours, shifts and contracts
You set your availability. Plenty of the people we place around Foxbar work three or four shifts and keep the rest of the week their own. Most people settle into a handful of regular services, often within a few miles of Thornly Park.
Agency and permanent are both on offer. Picking up shifts in two or three services around Hawkhead is a low-risk way to find out where you want to be.

- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Patience, resilience and respect for the people you support
- ✓Good communication skills
- ✓Experience in mental health or learning disability support is desirable, not essential

We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Paisley itself, which we would rather say plainly.
Work in Glasgow and East Kilbride often suits the same people, so tell us how far you are willing to go.
