Where the work is in Norwich
Work comes up near Eaton, Lakenham and Thorpe Hamlet, much of it within reach of Norwich University Hospital. Between Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Norfolk County Council, most of what we staff around Heartsease sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Eaton, Lakenham and Thorpe Hamlet one week, Heartsease, Hellesdon and Old Catton the next. If you are based around NR1 or NR8, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
The job day to day
- ✓ Supporting people to access work, education, activities and their community
- ✓ Positive behaviour support and de-escalation, with training provided
- ✓ Medication prompting and support appropriate to your training
- ✓ Accurate notes and clear communication with the wider team
- ✓ Supporting people with daily routines and personal care where needed
- ✓ Encouraging independence, choice and everyday decision making
When you would work
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Old Catton is easier for you to reach than Sprowston, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Sprowston.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Eaton and Heartsease first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.

Working with Protocol
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your Norfolk shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Norwich itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Great Yarmouth, Bury St Edmunds and King's Lynn as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Norwich.
