Support Worker roles in Lincoln
If you want Support Worker work in Lincoln, Protocol Healthcare Services recruits for supported living, mental health and learning disability services, on both temporary and permanent contracts.
Lincoln and the area we cover
Lincoln County Hospital anchors a good deal of the health provision around Bailgate and Ermine, and the settings we recruit for sit close to it. Lincolnshire County Council commissions much of the care in the area, and United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust runs the clinical side.
We fill posts in Bailgate, Ermine, Birchwood and Boultham and out towards Hartsholme, Carholme and Uphill. LN1, LN2, LN4 and LN5 come up most often, and work extends through Lincolnshire.
What you would be doing
- ✓ Encouraging independence, choice and everyday decision making
- ✓ Supporting people to access work, education, activities and their community
- ✓ Positive behaviour support and de-escalation, with training provided
- ✓ Medication prompting and support appropriate to your training
- ✓ Accurate notes and clear communication with the wider team
- ✓ Supporting people with daily routines and personal care where needed
Shifts, and how they are booked
You set your availability. Plenty of the people we place around Hartsholme work three or four shifts and keep the rest of the week their own. Most people settle into a handful of regular services, often within a few miles of Birchwood.
Agency and permanent are both on offer. Picking up shifts in two or three services around Ermine is a low-risk way to find out where you want to be.
What we look for
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Patience, resilience and respect for the people you support
- ✓Good communication skills
- ✓Experience in mental health or learning disability support is desirable, not essential
What we do for you
One consultant looks after you, knows the difference between the services in Bailgate and Hartsholme, and is reachable when a shift throws something up. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Lincoln itself, which we would rather say plainly.
Work in Newark and Scunthorpe often suits the same people, so tell us how far you are willing to go.
Send your availability and what you are qualified for, and a consultant will call you back about work around Boultham. There are immediate opportunities for suitable candidates. Call 020 8951 4510 or use the contact form.
