Where you would be based in Nottingham
Work comes up near Sherwood, Mapperley and Bulwell, much of it within reach of Queen's Medical Centre. Between Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and Nottingham City Council, most of what we staff around Wollaton sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Sherwood, Mapperley and Bulwell one week, Wollaton, Bilborough and Lenton the next. If you are based around NG7 or NG1, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
What the role involves
- ✓ Reporting changes and keeping clear records
- ✓ Helping people wash, dress and stay comfortable
- ✓ Supporting with meals, drinks and nutrition
- ✓ Assisting with mobility and safe moving and handling
- ✓ Taking and recording clinical observations under supervision
- ✓ Companionship, conversation and keeping people connected
Hours, shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Lenton is easier for you to reach than Radford, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Radford.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Sherwood and Wollaton first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.

We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your East Midlands shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Nottingham itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Loughborough, Mansfield and Derby as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Nottingham.
