Shifts land right across the patch: Lindley, Marsh and Paddock one week, Birkby, Fartown and Deighton the next. If you are based around HD1 or HD2, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
What you would be doing
- ✓ Reporting changes and keeping clear records
- ✓ Helping people wash, dress and stay comfortable
- ✓ Supporting with meals, drinks and nutrition
- ✓ Assisting with mobility and safe moving and handling
- ✓ Taking and recording clinical observations under supervision
- ✓ Companionship, conversation and keeping people connected
Shifts, and how they are booked
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Deighton is easier for you to reach than Almondbury, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Almondbury.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Lindley and Birkby first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.

What we do for you
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your West Yorkshire shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Huddersfield itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Halifax, Dewsbury and Batley as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Huddersfield.
