Where the work is in Slough
Work comes up near Cippenham, Langley and Chalvey, much of it within reach of Wexham Park Hospital. Between Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust and Slough Borough Council, most of what we staff around Upton sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Cippenham, Langley and Chalvey one week, Upton, Wexham and Colnbrook the next. If you are based around SL1 or SL2, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
The job day to day
- ✓ Supporting people to access work, education, activities and their community
- ✓ Positive behaviour support and de-escalation, with training provided
- ✓ Medication prompting and support appropriate to your training
- ✓ Accurate notes and clear communication with the wider team
- ✓ Supporting people with daily routines and personal care where needed
- ✓ Encouraging independence, choice and everyday decision making
When you would work
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Colnbrook is easier for you to reach than Britwell, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Britwell.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Cippenham and Upton first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.

Working with Protocol
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your Berkshire shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Slough itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Uxbridge, Ruislip and Bracknell as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Slough.
