Working around Pinner
Work comes up near Pinner Village, Pinner Green and Hatch End, much of it within reach of Northwick Park Hospital. Between London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and Harrow Council, most of what we staff around Nower Hill sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Pinner Village, Pinner Green and Hatch End one week, Nower Hill, North Harrow and Rayners Lane the next. If you are based around HA5 or HA5, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
A typical shift
- ✓ Supporting people to access work, education, activities and their community
- ✓ Positive behaviour support and de-escalation, with training provided
- ✓ Medication prompting and support appropriate to your training
- ✓ Accurate notes and clear communication with the wider team
- ✓ Supporting people with daily routines and personal care where needed
- ✓ Encouraging independence, choice and everyday decision making
Shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Rayners Lane is easier for you to reach than Eastcote, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Eastcote.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Pinner Village and Nower Hill first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
What you will need
- ✓Good communication skills
- ✓Experience in mental health or learning disability support is desirable, not essential
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange

How we work with you
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your London shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Pinner itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Harrow, Ruislip and Stanmore as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Pinner.
