Working around Ealing
Work comes up near Ealing Broadway, Ealing Common and West Ealing, much of it within reach of Ealing Hospital. Between London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and Ealing Council, most of what we staff around South Ealing sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Ealing Broadway, Ealing Common and West Ealing one week, South Ealing, North Ealing and Northfields the next. If you are based around W5 or W13, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
A typical shift
- ✓ Supporting people to access work, education, activities and their community
- ✓ Positive behaviour support and de-escalation, with training provided
- ✓ Medication prompting and support appropriate to your training
- ✓ Accurate notes and clear communication with the wider team
- ✓ Supporting people with daily routines and personal care where needed
- ✓ Encouraging independence, choice and everyday decision making
Shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Northfields is easier for you to reach than Pitshanger, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Pitshanger.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Ealing Broadway and South Ealing first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.

- ✓Experience in mental health or learning disability support is desirable, not essential

How we work with you
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your London shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Ealing itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Wembley, Richmond and Hammersmith as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Ealing.
