Nurse roles in Bracknell
Protocol Healthcare Services is looking for dedicated, compassionate and professional Registered Nurses to work in and around Bracknell. We place nurses on both agency and permanent contracts, so whether you want to pick up shifts around other commitments or move into a settled post, there is a route for you.
Where you would be based in Bracknell
Work comes up near Easthampstead, Great Hollands and Crown Wood, much of it within reach of Frimley Park Hospital. Between Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust and Bracknell Forest Council, most of what we staff around Harmans Water sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Easthampstead, Great Hollands and Crown Wood one week, Harmans Water, Bullbrook and Hanworth the next. If you are based around RG12 or RG42, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
What the role involves
- ✓ Accurate record keeping and handover
- ✓ Assessing, planning and reviewing care for the people you look after
- ✓ Medication administration and clinical observations
- ✓ Wound care, catheter care and other clinical tasks within your competence
- ✓ Working alongside GPs, district nurses and multidisciplinary teams
- ✓ Supporting and supervising care and support staff on shift
Hours, shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Hanworth is easier for you to reach than Priestwood, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Priestwood.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Easthampstead and Harmans Water first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
Who we are looking for
- ✓Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Excellent clinical and communication skills
- ✓Experience in community, elderly or end-of-life care is desirable, but not essential
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
Why people stay with us
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your Berkshire shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Bracknell itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Slough, Reading and Woking as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Bracknell.
Tell us which parts of Berkshire you can reach and we will match you to what is open. There are immediate opportunities for suitable candidates. Call 020 8951 4510 or use the contact form.
Nurse Jobs in Bracknell, answered
You need current NMC registration and the right to work in the UK. Experience in community, elderly or end-of-life care is desirable but not essential, and we will talk through which settings around Bracknell suit your background.
Day, night and weekend shifts, on full-time and part-time patterns. You set your availability and we work to it. Once you are established we can offer regular ongoing shifts rather than one-offs.
Both. We recruit for temporary and permanent positions, and many people start on agency shifts around Bracknell before moving into a permanent post once they have found a service that suits them.
Across nursing homes, residential services, supported living, community teams and NHS settings. In practice that means Easthampstead, Great Hollands, Crown Wood, Harmans Water and Bullbrook, covering RG12 and RG42, and out into Berkshire. Frimley Park Hospital is the main hospital in the area.
We have immediate opportunities for suitable candidates. Once your registration, right-to-work and DBS checks are in place, shifts can usually follow quickly. Call 020 8951 4510 or send us your details to get started.
