Where you would be based in Gloucester
Work comes up near Kingsholm, Longlevens and Barnwood, much of it within reach of Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Between Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire County Council, most of what we staff around Hucclecote sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Kingsholm, Longlevens and Barnwood one week, Hucclecote, Tuffley and Quedgeley the next. If you are based around GL1 or GL2, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
What the role involves
- ✓ Reporting changes and keeping clear records
- ✓ Helping people wash, dress and stay comfortable
- ✓ Supporting with meals, drinks and nutrition
- ✓ Assisting with mobility and safe moving and handling
- ✓ Taking and recording clinical observations under supervision
- ✓ Companionship, conversation and keeping people connected
Hours, shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Quedgeley is easier for you to reach than Abbeymead, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Abbeymead.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Kingsholm and Hucclecote first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
