Days, nights and weekends are all available, full time or part time. Someone covering Taibach on earlies and Cwmavon on nights is an ordinary week here. The aim is ongoing work in settings you already know, not a different address every week between Aberavon and Port Talbot Town.
Some people stay on agency indefinitely; others use a few months around Baglan to find the right permanent home. Both are fine.
