Care Home roles in Greenwich
Protocol Healthcare Services recruits for nursing and residential homes in and around Greenwich, covering everything from a single shift to a permanent contract. We place Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, senior carers and support staff.
Where you would be based in Greenwich
Work comes up near Greenwich Town, Blackheath and Charlton, much of it within reach of Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Between Greenwich NHS Trust and the local council, most of what we staff around Westcombe Park sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Greenwich Town, Blackheath and Charlton one week, Westcombe Park, Maze Hill and Kidbrooke the next. If you are based around SE10 or SE3, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
What the role involves
- ✓ Clear record keeping and handover between shifts
- ✓ Personal care, washing, dressing and continence support
- ✓ Supporting residents at mealtimes and with nutrition
- ✓ Mobility support and safe moving and handling
- ✓ Medication support appropriate to your role and training
- ✓ Activities, companionship and keeping families informed
Hours, shifts and contracts
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Kidbrooke is easier for you to reach than Eltham, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Eltham.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Greenwich Town and Westcombe Park first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
Who we are looking for
- ✓Reliability and a genuinely person-centred approach
- ✓NMC registration if you are applying for a Registered Nurse post
- ✓Previous care home experience is helpful but not always required
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
- ✓The right to work in the UK
Why people stay with us
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your London shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Greenwich itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Lewisham, Tower Hamlets and Newham as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Greenwich.
Tell us which parts of London you can reach and we will match you to what is open. There are immediate opportunities for suitable candidates. Call 020 8951 4510 or use the contact form.
