Where the work is in Harrow
Work comes up near Harrow-on-the-Hill, Wealdstone and North Harrow, much of it within reach of Northwick Park Hospital. Between London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and Harrow Council, most of what we staff around South Harrow sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Harrow-on-the-Hill, Wealdstone and North Harrow one week, South Harrow, West Harrow and Rayners Lane the next. If you are based around HA1 or HA2, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
The job day to day
- ✓ Wound care, catheter care and other clinical tasks within your competence
- ✓ Working alongside GPs, district nurses and multidisciplinary teams
- ✓ Supporting and supervising care and support staff on shift
- ✓ Accurate record keeping and handover
- ✓ Assessing, planning and reviewing care for the people you look after
- ✓ Medication administration and clinical observations
When you would work
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Rayners Lane is easier for you to reach than Kenton, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Kenton.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Harrow-on-the-Hill and South Harrow first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
Before you apply
- ✓Experience in community, elderly or end-of-life care is desirable, but not essential

We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your London shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Harrow itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Pinner, Stanmore and Wembley as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Harrow.
