Care Home roles in Keighley
Protocol Healthcare Services recruits for nursing and residential homes in and around Keighley, covering everything from a single shift to a permanent contract. We place Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, senior carers and support staff.
Keighley and the area we cover
Work comes up near Utley, Riddlesden and Ingrow, much of it within reach of Airedale General Hospital. Between Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford Metropolitan District Council, most of what we staff around Long Lee sits under one of the two.
Shifts land right across the patch: Utley, Riddlesden and Ingrow one week, Long Lee, Thwaites Brow and Oakworth the next. If you are based around BD20 or BD21, you are inside the area we cover most heavily.
What you would be doing
- ✓ Clear record keeping and handover between shifts
- ✓ Personal care, washing, dressing and continence support
- ✓ Supporting residents at mealtimes and with nutrition
- ✓ Mobility support and safe moving and handling
- ✓ Medication support appropriate to your role and training
- ✓ Activities, companionship and keeping families informed
Shifts, and how they are booked
Full-time and part-time patterns both work. If Oakworth is easier for you to reach than Oxenhope, say so and the rota follows it. Once you are established we keep the work regular rather than sporadic, usually in the same two or three services around Oxenhope.
We recruit for temporary and permanent posts. Trying several settings between Utley and Long Lee first tends to make the permanent choice obvious.
What we look for
- ✓Previous care home experience is helpful but not always required
- ✓An enhanced DBS check, which we can arrange
- ✓The right to work in the UK
- ✓Reliability and a genuinely person-centred approach
- ✓NMC registration if you are applying for a Registered Nurse post
What we do for you
We are a two-office team, not a call centre. The person booking your West Yorkshire shifts knows which settings suit you. We recruit from our offices in Edgware and Bournemouth and place people nationwide; there is no branch in Keighley itself, which we would rather say plainly.
If you can travel, there is steady work in Bradford, Halifax and Burnley as well, and many people cover two of those alongside Keighley.
Tell us which parts of West Yorkshire you can reach and we will match you to what is open. There are immediate opportunities for suitable candidates. Call 020 8951 4510 or use the contact form.
